Nearby is a keyword used to describe a building's area of effect in Tropico 5.
The maximum range of Nearby is a 12-24 Tiles Radius. Many buildings' effectiveness, bonuses and penalties are limited to Nearby. The easiest method of measuring Nearby is with an Electric Substation's electric grid (i.e. the green area). All new construction projects must be Nearby a road connected to a Construction Office.
