Modern apartment blocks are buildings in Tropico 4: Modern Times that take the place of apartment blocks. Modern apartments must be electrified and are more expensive, but they hold as many families as tenements and at a quality of living that's almost as good as condominiums.
- Climate Control: Installs air conditioning throughout the building for $1,000 and 2 megawatts of power. These cooling units are highly prized in the Caribbean heat, improving the building's housing quality by 15.
- Doorman Kiosk: For $1,000, a small kiosk for a doorman can be built outside the entrance of the building, providing its inhabitants security. This means that the residence won't increase the level of crime in the area.
- Normal Maintenance: Maintains the building as best as possible.
- Roach Patrol: Allows the building to fall into a state of disrepair, reducing the housing quality by 30% and the monthly upkeep to $16.
