For buildings of the same name in other Tropico games, see High School.
High schools are education buildings in Tropico 3 and Tropico 4. A high school degree is a requirement for almost all positions in an advanced economy, from factory workers to policemen. Having a high school itself is also the first demand the Intellectuals make.
Work Modes[]
- General Education: A standard education. The non-biased education provided by general schools teaches students the fastest and is appreciated by Intellectuals.
- Parochial Education: An education interspersed with religious teachings. The biased education provided by parochial schools teaches students 15% slower and upsets the Intellectuals, but there's a chance that graduates of the school will become Religious.
- Military Education: An education interspersed with military training. The biased education provided by military schools teaches students 15% slower and upsets the Intellectuals, but there's a chance that graduates of the school will become Militarists.
Radio[]
Miss Pineapple: With the opening of the new high school in Tropico, I would like to remind all students of the consequences of misdemeanors in school. Attempted murder of a classmate: spanking. Successful murder of a classmate: spanking. Becoming a rebel and blowing up the school: meeting with the school counselor. Assassinating El Presidente: Write 'I will not kill Presidente again one hundred times'.
