The Golden Statue is a landmark building in Tropico 3 and Tropico 4. It's a large statue of the current presidente sculpted entirely out of gold. The statue increases the surrounding area's beauty, making it a good idea to place it in areas that need the environmental boost or around tourist destinations. When the statue is first built, some Tropicans will automatically become Loyalists and the likelihood of more people joining the faction is increased.
Work Modes[]
- Stand Still: By default, the statue remains motionless.
- Rotate Gracefully: By increasing the upkeep to $120 a month, the statue can be made to slowly rotate in place, increasing the surrounding beauty by 10 more.
Trivia[]
- The Golden Statue appears to be inspired by the golden statues of Turkmen leader Saparmurat Niyazov such as the one at the Independence Monument. The rotating mode appears to be inspired by the Neutrality Monument statue which rotated to always face the sun.
