Fish farms are resource buildings in Tropico 4: Modern Times that take the place of fisherman's wharves. They're more compact than wharves and they don't involve going out in boats to catch fish at sea. Instead, fish are bred, grown, and "farmed" within a small area.
- Extra Fish Production: The fish farm focuses only on catching fish, providing a bigger yield depending on the skill of the fishermen.
- Fish and Shrimp: The fish farm cultivates shrimp as well as fish, providing good side dishes and increasing the service quality of nearby restaurants and gourmet restaurants.
- Fish and Oysters: The fish farm cultivates oysters as well as fish, generating a bit of extra money on the side depending on the skill of the fishermen. Strangely, if this option is selected before the building has employees no money will be generated when it does until this mode has been re-selected. Three employees will generate a minimum of $1,000 a month, making this a very profitable building to have early on.
