The Fall Of The Berlin Wall is a Timeline Event that can occur from 1989 to 1991.
While the event is happening, all immigrants arriving to the island will be Capitalists as the fall of the wall (and, according to some, communism as a whole) and the influx of western luxuries to eastern Germany inspires people to adopt more materialistic lifestyles.
History[]
The USSR built the Berlin Wall to stop people from defecting from communist East Germany to capitalist West Germany. From the very start, the wall was controversial for splitting the country in half and preventing freedom of movement. Despite the controversy, the wall stood for nearly 3 decades, until a series of revolutions in eastern Europe destabilized the region. On November 9, 1989, the East German government announced that all its citizens could freely travel to West Germany. Over the next few weeks, enthusiastic crowds of Germans on both sides of the wall helped chip away and bring it down as the first step in reuniting the two halves of the country.
