For buildings of the same name in other Tropico games, see College.
Colleges are education buildings in Tropico 3 and Tropico 4. College graduates are needed to run the most advanced parts of the island, including the military, the media, the hospitals, the financial system, and most kinds of power plants. After Tropico has built itself up and become advanced enough to start to need it, the Intellectuals will begin demanding a college if one hasn't been built already.
Work Modes
- General Education: A standard education. The non-biased education provided by general schools teaches students the fastest and is appreciated by Intellectuals.
- Parochial Education: An education interspersed with religious teachings. The biased education provided by parochial schools teaches students 15% slower and upsets the Intellectuals, but there's a chance that graduates of the school will become Religious.
- Military Education: An education interspersed with military training. The biased education provided by military schools teaches students 15% slower and upsets the Intellectuals, but there's a chance that graduates of the school will become Militarists.
